macOS

A ready layout file you can download today

Download

Before the installer arrives

A signed installer comes later — it will take two clicks. The layout file itself, though, is ready now: you copy it into a folder, and it needs neither administrator rights nor any third-party software.

Installation

  1. Download the layout you want with the button above.
  2. Put the file into ~/Library/Keyboard Layouts/. In Finder: Go → Go to Folder, paste that path. Create the folder if it is not there.
  3. Log out and log back in. macOS only reads the keyboard layouts folder at login — without this step the layout will not appear in the list.
  4. System Settings → Keyboard → Text Input Sources → “+”. Open the Other section at the bottom of the list and pick Oʻzbek — Yangicha.
  5. Switch with the menu bar icon or Ctrl+Space.

There are two layouts. Oʻzbek — Yangicha keeps the familiar Latin keys where they are and the new letters come out with Option — nicer if you type a lot. Oʻzbek — Yangicha (alohida tugmali) puts ö ğ ş ç on dedicated keys.

Quick routes

The fallback that works on any system: copy the letter you need from here. Tap it and it is on your clipboard.

Without installing a keyboard

If you would rather not install anything — convert your text here and copy it. It takes a few seconds and works the same on a phone.
