Linux
An XKB layout, installed by hand
Download
The file will be ready shortly
The keyboards ship in the next phase of the project. In the meantime you can convert your text here and copy it.
Installation
- Download the layout file.
- Copy it into /usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols/ under the name uz_new.
- Register the new variant in evdev.xml.
- Enable it with setxkbmap uz -variant new or pick it in your desktop settings.
In most desktops the Turkish or Azerbaijani layout works as a stopgap: ö ğ ş ç are all there. Watch out for i though — it behaves differently in the Turkish layout.
Check
Type in the field below — if all four letters appear, you are set.
Quick routes
The fallback that works on any system: copy the letter you need from here. Tap it and it is on your clipboard.
Without installing a keyboard
If you would rather not install anything — convert your text here and copy it. It takes a few seconds and works the same on a phone.
